Attorney Sheila Kessler is a 1988 graduate of the Wisconsin-Madison Law School.pt up into the criminal system. She was an associate at Gregory Wright Law Office in Central Wisconsin. She was an Assistant State Public Defender until 2011 when she and Dr. Greer formed Animal Legal Resources LLC and Kessler and Greer Law Office, where she is the managing partner. Sheila has a practice emphasis in Animal Law, Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Criminal Defense. Sheila is President of The Humane Society of Portage County; National Animal Interest Alliance Board alumni, President of the Great Lakes Pug Club, Vice-President of Lost and Stolen Pet Recovery Assistance and Board Member of the Russian Toy Dog Club of America.
She is a Past President of the Portage County Bar Association and also served as an elected member of the Stevens Point Area Public School District.
Dr. Marty Greer is a practicing veterinarian and attorney in Southeastern Wisconsin with an emphasis in canine reproduction, is also a breeder of award winning Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Marty had also developed an interest in law and was attending Marquette University Law School. Marty and Sheila’s mutual interests in dogs and the law became the basis of a friendship and now business partnership. After Marty’s graduation from Marquette in December of 2011, the two formed Animal Legal Resources, LLC, a Wisconsin law firm dedicated to providing legal services to promote animal welfare and the rights of individuals who own them. Marty continues to practice veterinary medicine at Veterinary Village, the animal hospital she owns with her husband, Dr. Dan Griffiths. She practices part-time at Animal Legal Resources both as an attorney and consultant.
